Harriet joined the team in February 2023 as Rural Estate Surveyor and is responsible for the management of residential, commercial and agricultural property across the Estate. Her role encompasses all aspects of rural estate management including identifying opportunities for income generation.
Harriet works closely with the building department overseeing property renovations to enhance asset value and promote sustainability. Her involvement with the in-hand farming operation includes the delivery of the Estate’s ambition to become net-zero.
Prior to joining the Englefield Estate, Harriet spent four years at the Berkeley Castle Estate in Gloucestershire gaining valuable experience in operations across the business. She has also worked for Strutt & Parker as a Land Agent, working closely with a wide range of landed estate clients.
With a passion for the countryside and rural affairs, Harriet studied Agricultural Business Management at Newcastle University, where her interest in land law began. She then completed a Masters Degree in Rural Estate and Land Management, and later completed the Assessment of Professional Competence to become a chartered surveyor.
